FX1 Academy is committed to the society. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) motto serves to inspire, challenge and change what the world has now come to embrace as "Social Norms." We believe that with continuous education, individuals can be empowered and enlightened to shape their own destiny, live a great future and leave an awesome legacy. We aim to help eliminate pressing issues in the world today, focusing on the domains of financial illiteracy and poverty. Some of our partners on this enthralling journey include:
World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. Established in 1950 to care for orphans in Asia, World Vision has grown to embrace the larger issues of community development and advocacy for the poor in its mission to help children and their families build sustainable futures. The heart of World Vision's work is in helping communities build stronger and healthier relationships. The absence of such relationships impoverishes communities. World Vision focuses on children because they are the best indicator of a community's social health. When children are fed, sheltered, schooled, protected, valued and loved, a community thrives. ONE (SINGAPORE) is dedicated to raising public awareness and taking concrete actions to Make Poverty History. Every three seconds a child dies from extreme poverty. But it doesn’t have to be this way. The resources and technology exist in the world today to transform the hopes and dreams of an entire generation. From 17th to 19th October 2008, ONE (SINGAPORE)’s supporters joined 117 million people from 131 countries in “Stand Up and Take Action Against Poverty” to call on world leaders to do the right thing and honor their commitments to end poverty.
Stand Up 2008 is a global initiative organised by the United Nations Millennium Campaign in collaboration with the Global Call to Action Against Poverty. On 17 October 2007 - International Day for the Eradication of Poverty - 43.7 million people from 127 countries, including Singapore, "stood up" to call for a world without poverty and to remind global leaders of their commitments to the Millennium Development Goals. From Afghanistan to Zimbabwe - from farmers in rural Nepal to students in Africa to entrepreneurs, students and celebrities here in Singapore, global citizens literally and symbolically stood up to call on world leaders to do the right thing -- more and better aid, debt relief, fair trade, gender equality, public transparency and accountability. Locally, more than 4000 people stood up! This year - from 17-19 October - even more concerned citizens are expected to join the call and in the process set a new Guinness World Record.
